The precision, life, and performance of bearings are impacted by their proper mounting. Therefore, the mounting of bearings should be thoroughly studied by the design and assembly departments. The mounting should be completed in line with the operational standards, as is expected. Ordinarily, the operation standard’s items are as follows:

(3) Mounting

Before the approaching installation, We hope the parties opened the bearing package. No cleaning, just simple grease filling for general lubrication. Cleaning is not generally necessary for lubricant lubrication, but some items, like instruments or high-speed bearings, should be cleaned with clean oil and any anti-rust coatings removed. Bearings without anti-rust chemicals should not be overlooked because they rust easily. Additionally, greased-up bearings should be used without being cleaned first.
The mounting method of bearings varies according to the bearing structure, fit and condition. Generally, since most of them are shaft rotating, the inner ring needs interference fit. For cylindrical hole bearings, press-in is mostly used, or hot mounting method is mostly used. The occasion of tapered hole, directly mounted on the tapered shaft, or with a sleeve installation.
When attached to the shell, the outer ring has a surplus and is often forced in with a press or installed using the cold shrink fit technique after being cooled. The moisture in the air will condense on the surface of the bearing during the cold shrink fit installation when dry ice is used as a coolant. Consequently, appropriate antirust measures are needed.
